Veterans Day – November 11, 2015

ThanksVeteransToday is a special day for everyone in the United States.  This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between Germany and the Allied nations in 1918.

Although Veterans should be honored every day, in the United States of America, Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th.

So let’s take time to thank and honor those Veterans who stood up for us, volunteered their time and life for the sake of their country.  And if you have a Veteran in your family, give them a special hug!

No matter how far you have to travel to see your veteran family, take the time to do it.  They took time for us.  For those of you who do not have a veteran family, smile and thank any veteran you encounter.  They deserve our respect and gratitude.

All across America, there will be ceremonies, parades and various festivities to honor those who have served in the armed forces.  Many people have not interacted with military, but however the opportunity presents itself, be kind and considerate to how you acknowledge and treat them.  Many veterans took their positions more serious than others, many was wounded and we must be vigilant not to treat them as handicaps, but with the utmost respect and honor.

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!
