Bill Gate’s Speech to a High School – This will never get old!

I recently had the opportunity to teach an English class at a local High School and was amazed at the posters and pictures that was displayed in this classroom.

One clipping really stood out that I actually had the opportunity to recite most of it back to the students as they complained about their assignment for the day.

This is a Speech that I believe will never get old!

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talked about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Food for THOUGHT

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2: The world doesn’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them (own them)

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the Rain Forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

We truly hope many students who read this will really learn the lesson Mr. Gates tried to convey. Even more, it is hopeful that Parents and Grandparents who read this will remember ‘from whence they came’ and treat their kids accordingly. It is not okay to simply SPOIL THEM and turn them out into the World.

DIVORCE or ANNULMENT – NEITHER ONE IS EASY!

divorce-word-cloud-concept-23434770This is never a subject anyone wants to talk about, let alone someone blogging about it. But REALLY! It happens and it could be happening to you!

Don’t for get the Kids!  I read a recent article: The Intelligent Divorce by Mark Banschick, M.D. that highlighted how hard it is for the kids.  He said: Most children don’t want divorce – parents do”.  And that it so true.

Leave the children out of your drama.  Either work it out and move on.  Kids don’t want you to be their friend in the middle of a dispute/divorce.  They still need Parents!  They have friends.  Drama and arguing within a marriage is very emotional for the children and some leave lifelong scars!  Read the Article!  Get Help or Move On!  Sorry to put it so bluntly, but some Adults need this!

After all the Counseling and Talking, what do you do?  Why not get the information you need to get past this. You can deal with the memories later!

My friend’s son was miserable in his marriage but just didn’t know what to do. Knowing that divorces and attorneys were expensive, he put it off way too long.  Eventually, they reached a mutual agreement, and with no real estate to settle, they found an on-line divorce company. It was simple and easy. It can be for you too!

This company provides online divorce, annulment and legal separation forms for filling in all 50 US States. Their technology also completes the forms and guarantees the court approval on all of the online divorce forms, legal separation forms and annulment forms.  Founded in 2002, they are the only online divorce service who can prepare the documents for a divorce, annulment or a legal separation and file them in the court as well as serve the spouse anywhere in the United States. Their web site offers service in all 50 U.S. states with a service fee starting at only $159.

Find out if you even qualify for an Online Divorce.  There are stipulations that may not fit you.

In many cases, you only need an annulment.  Find out if you qualify and start the paper process NOW!

With enough strength and compassion you can get through this and still be civil to each other, maybe even friends.

I’m not taking this lightly. But I do know you can’t stay stuck in one place too long! You have a long life and need to move on towards your next Journey.

Hopefully this information has been helpful and a blessing to you.

Please share this information with someone you know may be suffering or simply don’t know what to do or how they can afford it!
